Ann Verhey-Henke is the Strategic Director of the University of Michigan Center for Socially Engaged Design. Prior to her appointment at C-SED, Ann was the Managing Director of Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship and Adjunct Lecturer in Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan School of Public Health (U-M SPH).
At SPH, Ann lead Innovation in Action, a five-month, university-wide student challenge stimulating innovative, collaborative solutions to address real-world problems student teams are passionate about solving. Ann brings over 20 years of experience in building heterogeneous teams of faculty and students to work toward a common goal of innovation. Prior to joining the School of Public Health, Ann served as Director of Foundation Relations for Health, Science and Technology, Interim Director of Development School of Information, and as the Director of Research Administration at the School of Information. Ann has a BA in Psychology and Religion from Hope College and a MDiv from McCormick Theological Seminary.
