Are you interested in working with students from other disciplines on creating solutions for pressing social problems? Would you like to get more experience engaging in a design process with real-world potential? Come join us for the design jam – Creating Renter Demand for Energy-Efficient Housing.

The Problem: Students sign lease agreements with little or no information about what their gas, electric, and water bills will be. If students pay utilities, what incentives do landlords have to invest in high efficiency furnaces or smart thermostats?

The Challenge: Design a tool or process to increase demand for energy-efficient rental housing in Ann Arbor.

Join in being part of the solution on Friday, Sept. 28th from 1:30 pm – 5 pm @ TechArb (500 E Washington St, Basement Level). Food will be provided.

Register here by Sept. 26th. Registration is limited to 70 participants.

Sponsored by the Center for Socially Engaged Design, the School of Information and TechArb.
