Subject: Get up to $20,000 to do work you’re passionate about!

Hey CSED students!

If you want to take action to build a better world, I encourage you to consider joining optiMize! optiMize is a supportive community for students to create projects that make a positive social impact.

They run a series of workshops from October until February, and then in February you have a chance to receive up to $20,000 for your project!

You can apply with a specific project or just a passion for a social issue. No prior experience is necessary—the optiMize program provides workshops, mentorship, and a supportive community to help you learn how to bring your ideas to life and grow your project to make serious impact. All you have to do is ask yourself, “Why not me?”

There’s two key steps this week to get started with optiMize:

  1. Apply to join the Challenge by Thursday, October 12 at 11:59pm at optiMizeMI.org.
  2. Looking for an idea to work on? Attend the optiMize Kickoff in the Union Ballroom at 6:30pm on Tuesday! This is not a requirement to join the Challenge, but it’s a great place to learn more about optiMize, meet people to work with, eat free food, and get a new optiMize t-shirt!
I hope you’ll consider this opportunity!
