The Center for Socially Engaged Design’s Socially Engaged Design Academy (SEDA) is available for curricular and co-curricular students, as well as for faculty.
Students can apply their independent learning within SEDA to projects and will be trained using an on-demand on-line learning platform coupled with an on-demand and in-person hands on skills training working with learning block coaches.
The learning block approach will:
- Increase the quality of faculty-student interaction
- Bring students up to speed faster on skills integral to socially engaged design
- Appeal to a more “learn through technology” generation
- Reduce workload for faculty members working in socially-engaged design space
