Isabel is a Ph.D. student in Engineering Education Research. She has a B.S. and M.S. in Bioengineering with a minor in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Isabel‘s research is on the experiences of students with disabilities in engineering, with a focus on how students navigate the accommodations process. Her own experiences having a disability and navigating accommodations in college motivate her work towards improving the culture in engineering to be more welcoming and equitable for students, faculty, and staff with disabilities.
