As a Senior Graduate Facilitator at C-SED, Kelley helps to create and lead workshops related to socially engaged design. These workshops span everything from stakeholder mapping and interviewing to sustainable design requirements and eco-audits.
Kelley completed her Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2017. After graduating, she worked in the consumer appliance industry for two years and had a variety of engineering roles spanning the product development process. In the Fall of 2019, Kelley started as a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Her current research focuses on the development and assessment of engineers’ systems thinking skills.
Kelley is passionate about the early stages of a design process, the creation of equitable community partnerships, and the recognition of broad contextual factors that can impact the success of a designed artifact/process/solution.
