Anthony Dang is a MPH candidate in the department of nutritional sciences at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He originally hails from Seattle, Washington where he earned his B.S. in biology and minor in nutritional sciences. Anthony is a member of Innovation in Action’s grand prize winning team in 2020. Alongside his team, he helped develop Heard, a platform that digitally connects individuals with chronic illness who experience flare ups to on-demand peer support. His interest lies in exploring the intersection of socially engaged design and public health. In the future, he hopes to apply the principles of socially engaged design to improve public health nutrition programming. Outside of school, he enjoys training for triathlons, hiking, and cooking.
